CARHA: Christian Action Relief for Haiti
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
CARHA is a non-profit organization established to empower the people of Haiti. Since 1998, our compass has been Christ. Through His direction, CARHA has assisted Haitian families through Education, Evangelism, Medical Care and Emergency Care programs.
We strive to spiritually and physically help the people of Haiti so they're able to create a thriving Haiti.
Our vision for Haiti is bold, but we have a God who can move mountains.
Whether it's through prayer, volunteering or financial support - become a part of the CARHA family! Take a look around the website to learn about our vision, ministries, and how you can become a partner.
Pastor Djumy was born and raised in the village of Bayonnais - a remote village in the mountainous region of Artibonite, Haiti. As a child,
Ps. Djumy had a Christian sponsor who provided for his education. Little did his sponsor know how much God would multiply his investment in Ps. Djumy's life!
Ps. Djumy was able to attend school and graduate from Haiti's University of Law. At the age of 24, Djumy gave up his plan to be a lawyer and sought a Ministerial Science degree from Port Au Prince Christian College. Immediately after finishing his Bible degree in Haiti, Djumy came to the United States to earn his Bachelor's degree in Christian Education from Mid South Christian College, Memphis, TN.
In 1998, during his time as a Bible college student, Ps. Djumy hired 2 teachers to start teaching a class of 32 students in St. Martin, Haiti— CARHA's first campus!
"As a new pastor, I had great difficulty sharing the Bible with the people due to their illiteracy. Now we have about 1000 students [pre-school through high school] in three schools. Thank God for that. I would like to thank all of you for supporting CARHA. With our continuing efforts we can build a better future for the next generation.
Rest assured that your gifts will impact not only our community, but the world as our children are given a Christian education and a chance at a better life for themselves and those around them."
