​A CARHA Christmas Event!

     Since 2011, hundreds of CARHA supporters, sponsors and friends fill boxes with school supplies, clothing, small gifts and more! The Shoebox ministry keeps growing!

     Because of generous donors like you, the last few years we've been able to gift shoeboxes to hundreds of children at all four of CARHA's campuses, as well as children in surrounding neighborhoods and villages. 

An Impactful Gift!

Many of the children who receive a CARHA Shoebox  have never before received a Christmas or birthday gift. CARHA's children and students, ages 3 to 18, look forward to these gifts each year! ​

Build a Shoebox in FIVE  easy steps!

STEP 1: Select the gender and age range for the child/children you'd would like to pack a shoebox for:

GIRLS
3-5 Years
6-8 Years 
9-11 Years
12-16 Years
17-18 Years

BOYS
3-5 Years
6-8 Years 
9-11 Years
12-16 Years
17-18 Years

STEP 2:
Purchase and pack a sturdy plastic shoe container. The plastic shoe container is an extra blessing to the child's family.

STEP 3:
Fill your box with sturdy, age appropriate toys, treats, school supplies, hygiene items, and more.

STEP 4:
​Secure your box with duct tape and label it with the age and gender category.  

STEP 5:
Deliver your shoebox with $7 for shipping by November 5th.

What's in a Shoebox?
Here are a few ideas 

   TOYS - small durable toys for boys & girls

• matchbox cars
• stuffed toys
• baby dolls​
• jump ropes
• picture books
• deflated soccer balls with hand pump

   CLOTHING & SHOES
   (cheerful graphics) ​​

• ​underclothes for boys and girls 
• t-shirts 
• ruffled socks (girls) & plain socks (boys)
• slip on shoes for girls
• flip flops (size appropriate for age)

   SCHOOL SUPPLIES 

• ​pens, pencils & sharpeners
• crayons & markers
• spiral notebooks or loose paper 
• writing tablets for K-1st grade 
• solar calculators

   HYGIENE

• ​toothbrush & toothpaste
• bar soap (unwrapped & placed in a baggie)
• comb
• deodorant
• wash cloths

   SNACKS

• hard candy
• lollipops
• mints & gum
• peanut butter
• crackers
• granola bars

   OTHER

• barrettes, hair clips and ribbon for hair bows
• ponytail holders or small rubber bands
• flashlights​ with batteries 

FOR OLDER CHILDREN

• French/English dictionary
• Solar powered scientific 
• ​​sewing kits: yard of fabric, thread, needles, scissors
• fishing hooks and line
• ​​Tool kits or small hand tools: tape measure, screwdrivers, pliers, work gloves, hammer (metric or English)
